I use Accessorizer to help me do my work making iPhone apps. I use it to generate singleton initializers. I use it to generate description methods after I paste the class properties into it. I use it to generate methods for NSKeyedArchiver use. It has many uses and features that I continue discovering whenever I wonder, "Can Accessorizer generate code for me so I dont have to type it all out myself?"
good work, but so small fonts size in UI, make it bigger please
The first day with it and already it has saved me approximately an hour of what would normally be tedious coding and I can see why it will save me from hours of chasing simple typos. Youve likely saved my marriage, Accessorizer! LOL. Kudos !
This app is great! It already has saved me hours on developing my next app. I emailed Kevin because I was having some trouble and he quickly responded to me with a solution and continued to send follow up emails to make sure everything was going smoothly. I cant say enough about the app or the suport provided. The app is great for doing things like creating model classes. What used to take hours, takes me minutes. Thank You!
Ive been using this app for awhile, so I have quite a lot to say about it. TL,DR - Huge time saver for a serious Obj-C developer. I downloaded the shareware originally before the App Store even existed. I decided to read some of the help documentation, and it really paid off. My main use-case became conceptualize and type the initial iVars on a given object, and paste into this app. Key time savers are all the property generations, synthesizes, NSCoding and NSCopying auto-generation is huge. Just paste in your xcode and you now have a robust OO architecture to begin working with in your application. There are a few key points of integration with mac Services, but I never really bothered with that step, because it just wasnt that necessary for me. Already I save at least 15 minutes of tedious typing for a given re-useable class. I liked the shareware so much, I tried to buy it. However, it turns out the original version of this app, not the one here in the app store, used some extremely sketchy purchase software, I think it was called Ecelerate. For those who have not yet had the nightmare of dealing with this company, just dont. But I digress. Infuriated and faced with a very unfriendly purchase mechanism, I took matters into my own hands and wrote my own smaller version of this app. It worked for me for awhile, but Id have to sink an extreme amount of time into it to have it match all of the configuration presented here. When I saw this was available on the App Store, I decided it was time to fork over the cash for the real version and pay the developer behind it. Appreciate it, so here are a few bucks, Kevin.
Accessorizer is a fantastic time saver and helps prevent typos. The functionality of creating property and synthesize statements alone makes this app worth it and there are numerous other features. Using the keyboard shortcuts makes it easy to switch back and forth between Accessorizer and Xcode. Using Accessorizer in combination with an app that supports pasteboard history (such as LaunchBar), makes Accessorizer perfect as it reduces the number of Cmd-Tab presses to switch back and forth. I had a minor issue with keyboard shortcut conflicts and Kevin responded quickly to help me solve the problem. Great software and great support! Ive only scratched the surface of using its capabilities and look forward to learning more of its features as I continue to use it.
I am incredibly cautious about buying an app that is over $5. When I saw this app I was initially like "cool idea" but "does it work." So I downloaded the free trial on their website and played around with it. Incredible. I dont even need to wait 29 days to evaluate, I already know this app is going to work for me. One of the biggest drags of variables is setting them up in the header and implementation file. It does an incredible job of auto writing the code for you to just copy and paste into XCode. I love it! Nice job on the app!
this saves me a lot of time making new applications!!
You can check out videos on the developers website for how this aids you, but it saves me time every day and thats worth it.
Accessorizer is an awesome tool makes any developer using Xcode more productive. It took me time to work in Accessorizer into my daily workflow due to the sheer number of features, but now I take Accessorizer for granted and cant imaging coding without it. And the single shortcut key to the Action Menu makes Accessorizer feel like its part of Xcode.
It has gotten to the point where I cannot imagine writing ObjC code without Accessorizer. Just the basic usage -- declare your ivars, and let Accessorizer write the properties, synthesize statements, and dealloc clauses -- saves so much time that it is easily worth what it used to cost. At $5, it actually feels like stealing. If you write ObjC professionally, do not hesitate, just buy it now. If you write ObjC as a hobby, its still worth the money, as it automates many things that quickly become repetitive and boring. Jeeze, buy it already.
If you use XCode, you must have this. Makes very annoying things much less annoying.
Use Xcode and Objective-C? Then buy Accessorizer—its the law. Accessorizer takes care of a lot of the tedious boiler-plate code you have to write for any healthy Objective-C programs. Its also very helpful for enforcing standards and best practices amongst a group. Cant recommend it highly enough.
I hate writing a lot of boilerpalte code thankfully, Accessorizer does it all for me now. This is a great app!
Major kudos to Kevin Callahan. To any devs thinking about puchasing this app, do yourself a huge favor and just clik the buy app button already! ;) Seriously, read the other reviews, they all give the pertinent details. This app will save you major time, theres no way around it. Do yourself a favor and watch the tutorial videos though, they will get you up to speed fast.
Every objective-c coder should have this app! It has become an essential part of my teams workflow. Whether its IOS coding or straight Mac, this app is an absolute must for mac programmers. Period!! Integrated with both XCode and Textmate we have even used it with our emacs friends. A must have app for all programmers of macs and iphones.
Great idea. I use Accessorizer everyday. The developer provides great support and plenty of tutorials. Great app for the price!!!
This tool is an indispensible tool that every cocoa dev needs to have. Accessorizer automates all the boring and monotonous code that we all need to write into our apps. You need to get this NOW!!! By the way, did you notice the price! At $3.99, this is a NO BRAINER! This app should cost at least $20… P.S. Make sure to check out the getting started videos on the developers website. They will help kick start your automation...
Ive used this app just a short while and immediately found the benefit in creating and reorganizing classes in XCode. I am a keyboard shortcut junkie, so this app is a great fit for working quickly using those embedded in the app. A nice package of trial software, how-to videos, and timely and helpful tech support is available through the developers website! Nice price-point for the paid version too! Thanks for making coding much more fun by automating the more tedious tasks and allowing me to focus more on semantics. Looking forward to future versions of this invaluable app.
