Accessorizer App Reviews

34 Customer Reviews:

I just bought this app, and my god, its a time saver! With this app, XCode is comparable to Visual Studio; no longer do you have to type @property and @synthesize. Having to type those was making me question whether I wanted to program in Apples environment, but this app have made me changed my mind: I want to code with XCode and Objective-C. Apple Devs, do yourself a favor, buy this app and save yourself some time. Thanks for this wondeful app, Kevin! [review release];

Kevin has created one of the most indispensable tools for Objective-C developers. Although Xcode is getting better about generating some of the common boilerplate code, Accessorizer is still my main tool for codegen tasks. Kevin has also proven himself to be an incredibly responsive developer and quickly works his users ideas into the tool. I cant recommend it more highly!!

If you use Xcode, you should have this tool. Easily worth the four bucks. Make sure that you watch the videos on the website before trying to use it. The UI is designed for experts, and new users will be bewildered without some guidance.

best money ever spent

This could be 10x the price and still be an amazing value for how much time it saves you. Amazing product.

I cant speak highly enough of Accessorizer, and the personal support I received from Kevin. The problem I had was totally my fault, but he still went way out of his way to help me figure out what I was doing wrong. I feel like Accessorizer makes me so much more productive, and I cant imagine going back to working in Xcode without it.

I mistakingly bought this app expecting it to be compatible with ARC, I failed to see the last update was in June of 2011. I would love to use this tool, but cannot until it works with ARC. Hopefully the next update fixes this.

Being an Eclipse and Visual Studio veteran, Xcode leaves a lot to be desired as far as generating boiler plate code. Accessorizer is the MUST HAVE app for cutting down on the amount of code you need to pound out so that you can focus on the real business logic for your apps. The developer is extremely responsive to issues, suggestions, and support of this app. I was so impressed with the quality and usefulness of it that I had my company pick up several copies for our iOS developers. Anyone serious about Objective-C development should definitely pick this up. I really like the iterative refinements that get made--Accessorizer keeps getting better and better.

This app is so useful, Im giving it 5 stars despite some serious usability issues. But be forewarned, its not easy to figure out and at first, you may find yourself giving up in frustration more than once. But once you get past those initial pains, this tool is awesome!! What it needs more than anything is more tooltips. There are tons of configuration choices, but only a few have tooltips and the built in help is more of a walkthrough / tutorial / getting started guide and does not explain most of these options. For example, I know what an IBOutlet is, but what does the "Assign IBOutlets" option actually do? It probably adds to some actions generated code, but I havent found it yet ;-)

This tool is awesome but Id like to request one additional feature. Under Defaults Table for properties it would nice if there was an option to selecte strong under assignment for arc projects. Also I cant find a support email address anywhere on your website. Thanks for the great work.

This is such an incredible timesaver, and it really helps my carpal-tunnel! If you thing typing boilerplate code is fun, then its probably not for you!

1) Feedback doesnt work. 2) It would be nice to be able to <further> customize some of the code. For example. The pragma generator generates a separate line for the dash -: #pragma mark - #pragma mark Property … this isnt necessary. A smaller equivalent would be to include the hyphen within the pragma mark: #pragma mark - Property …I dont see how I can alter this behavior. Still, this $4.99 application is well worth the cost. Having a standard code-generator shall (should) reduce the typos & random syntax errors so common in this profession. And hence, Im happy to have this application in my code-development arsenal.

I bought this app for $4.99 and it completely killed xcode on my Mac. I am now looking at how to reinstall xcode just so that I can start developing again. Waste of time and money!!! If I could give it a worse rating that 1 I would! What a scam!
